Advanced Features

Refinement, Iconify, reference-guided generation, and custom templates for power users.

Icon Refinement

Refinement lets you iterate on a generated icon using AI. Available on paid plans.

How It Works

  1. Generate an icon that's close to what you want
  2. Click the Attach button to attach the current icon
  3. Enter refinement instructions (e.g., "make it more rounded", "add a shadow")
  4. Click generate — the AI uses your attached icon as a starting point

Note: Refinement uses the premium AI model (~20 tokens) because the AI analyzes your existing icon as reference.

Attachment Stack

You can refine multiple times in sequence. Each attachment builds on the previous result. Use these flags to manage attachments:

  • --pop — Remove the last attachment
  • --clear — Remove all attachments

Iconify (Image to Icon)

Convert any image into a clean icon. Upload a photo, logo, or sketch and the AI transforms it. Available on paid plans.

1

Click the Iconify Button

Click the image icon button in the input bar to open the file picker.

2

Select an Image

Choose an image file from your device. Most formats are supported.

3

Add Optional Description

You can add a description to guide the AI, or leave it blank.

4

Generate

Click generate to create an icon based on your image. Uses ~20 tokens (premium model).

Use as Reference

The Reference feature uses your current icon to guide the style of new generations. Unlike Attach (which refines), Reference influences the aesthetic while generating something entirely new. Available on paid plans.

  1. Generate an icon with the style you want to replicate
  2. Click the reference button (eye icon) in the toolbar
  3. Enter a new subject and generate
  4. The new icon adopts the style of your reference

Attach vs Reference

  • Attach: Refines the attached icon based on your prompt (modifies it)
  • Reference: Creates a new icon inspired by the reference style (new subject)

Tip: Use Reference when building a consistent icon set. Generate one icon perfectly, then use it as a reference for all subsequent icons to maintain visual consistency.

Custom Templates

Create reusable style presets with your own prompts and post-processing settings. Templates appear in the style dropdown for one-click access.

Creating a Template

  1. Click the style dropdown and select "Custom Style" at the bottom
  2. Enter a template name (e.g., "Thick Outline")
  3. Write a style prompt describing how icons should look
  4. Configure settings:
    • Color Mode: Monochrome or full color
    • Detail Level: Low, medium, or high
    • Output Size: 128, 256, 512, or 1024 pixels
  5. Set post-processing values (applied automatically):
    • Thickness: -10 to +10
    • Smoothing: -10 to +10
    • Crop: 0-50%
    • BG Removal: 0-10 tolerance
  6. Click "Save Template"

Using Templates

Your saved templates appear in the style dropdown below the built-in styles. Select one, enter your subject, and generate. All settings apply automatically.

Tip: Templates are perfect for maintaining brand consistency. Create one template for your project's style and use it for all generations.
