Overview

The Vector Generator creates scalable SVG graphics from text descriptions. Unlike raster icons, vectors remain crisp at any size and can be edited with the built-in node editor. Available on paid plans.

Generating Vectors

Describe Your Vector

Enter a description of the vector graphic you want (e.g., "mountain landscape", "abstract waves"). Use the example chips for inspiration.

Generate

Click generate. The AI creates an SVG vector from your description.

Edit & Export

Use the node editor to refine, then download the SVG or save it to your library.

Node Editor

The built-in node editor lets you modify SVG paths directly:

Editing Tools

  • Edit Nodes (N) — Select and drag individual path nodes
  • Add Nodes (P) — Click on a path to insert new nodes
  • Delete Node (Del) — Remove the selected node
  • Smooth Node — Convert a corner node to a smooth curve
  • Corner Node — Convert a smooth node to a sharp corner
  • Delete Path — Remove an entire path element

Actions

  • Change Color (C) — Modify the fill or stroke color
  • Adjust Stroke (S) — Change the stroke width
  • Flip Horizontal (H) — Mirror the vector horizontally
  • Flip Vertical — Mirror the vector vertically
  • Rotate 90° (R) — Rotate the vector clockwise
  • Revert — Restore the original generated vector

Background Toggle

Switch between checkered, white, or transparent backgrounds to preview how your vector looks in different contexts.

Exporting

  • Download SVG — Export as an .svg file for use in design tools, websites, or print
  • Copy SVG Code — Copy the raw SVG markup to your clipboard for inline use
  • Save to Library — Add the vector to your Iconly library
  • Load from Library — Load a previously saved vector for further editing
